Refunds &  Returns Policy

RETURNS

We here at Hampton by Design do everything within our power to supply you with a product that you will be proud to own. As with all hand made products there is the very rare chance that we might miss something, and in such an event we need you to notify us of the issue within 14 days of receipt of the item.

Examples would be scratched, chipped, broken, significant timber movement , incorrect size or finish. If there is a problem we will always work with you to resolve the issue.

This may involve coming to inspect the item if you are near, or if needed we may have a local repairer come out to inspect on our behalf. If it is an issue covered by our terms it may be possible to repair the item and if repair is not an option then the item may be replaced, as mentioned we want you to be proud and totally satisfied with your purchase.

As all our products are bespoke made, we do not exchange items. We only replace or repair items if they are defective or incorrect items.

Note: We do not have a provision for change of mind in our policies, and as such please note that we cannot change, replace or refund if at any stage you have a change of mind.

​

Our return policy does not cover every day wear and tear, improper treatment or improper maintenance of the product.

REFUND POLICY

If you are dissatisfied with the product and would like a refund please contact us within 14 days and if it is agreed to by both parties, you may return the product and receive a refund of the product price. This may be a store credit or a refund as agreed to by the purchaser and Hampton by Design. Return and associated shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

TRANSPORT DAMAGE

Please contact us immediately after receipt of your item if the item has been damaged in transit. If we do not hear from you within 3 days of receipt then we cannot take responsibility for such damage.

Importantly, the products that we manufacture are all hand made products and each piece will have its own unique characteristics and features. 

​

Each product is hand made, therefore your piece, whilst similar to the products featured on our website, may not be exactly the same. Additionally, natural products move over time and may even be somewhat uneven. As a result, our returns policy does not cover the natural characteristics of our products.

​

Again, we will do everything in our power to ensure you are happy and satisfied with the outcome.
